In the year 1995, MKT set up a ‘Comprehensive Vocational Training & Rehabilitation’ center, in order to cater to special young minds with afflictions related to that of mental challenges and coach them in becoming independent and self-sustaining. As a memorable tribute to the beloved departed soul, Late Shri Maheshbhai Kothari, Manav Kalyan Trust built a secondary school for the speech & hearing impaired in June 2013. Today, MSKSS provides free & comprehensive day and residential secondary school program for the speech & hearing impaired students, giving them a chance to learn and prosper. Our mission at MSKSS is to nourish students and strengthen their abilities, enabling the students to become well equipped to deal with the challenges of adult life. It is our goal to provide students with an academically rigorous program that develops them into self-directed, independent & resourceful human beings who demonstrate essential knowledge, literacy and adequate social skills necessary to be effective, productive, and contributing members of society.

Smt. Sandra Rajju Shroff Training and Rehabilitation Centre for the Handicapped

At Smt. Sandra Rajju Shroff Training and Rehabilitation Centre for the Handicapped, children undergo a special training programme where they participate in activities like screen printing, tailoring, photo lamination, embroidery work, knitting, light engineering and gardening. Established in the year 1995, this “Vocational Centre” has educated hundreds and thousands of students and made them independent in life.

Art speaks where words are unable to explain. Art is the most essential, indispensable & intrinsic element of life through which any communication barrier can be crossed! With a deep understanding & belief of this principle, Mr. & Mrs. Kanjibhai Patel initiated the Printery (press) & Kalakendra at Manav Kalyan Trust. From printing to sewing to knitting and more, children are educated and guided in these fields, thus enabling them to explore and understand the essence of life.

Hand Made Paper Manufacturing Unit

As part of our vocational training center at Manav Kalyan Trust, Navsari, a non-profit project was undertaken to set up a Hand Paper making unit for the distinctively abled individuals i.e. individuals suffering from hearing impairment, visual impairment and mental challenges. The project involved setting up a physical workshop space where the teachers as well as students of the organization will be trained in the art of producing handmade paper, as well as other products out of that very paper. This unit was set up in April 2013, with the main focus directed towards Motivation, Training, Information Dissemination, and Technical Assistance, so that they be able to make an honest living.

Digital Interactive Classroom covers the complete curriculum of the State Board of Secondary Education (SBSE), which gets seamlessly integrated with the school syllabus.
